They are pretty strict about check-in and check-out times. Check-in is at 3PM and check-out is at 11. Don’t even think about staying later than that or you’ll get a passive aggressive text from the owner to leave… trust me. Everyone staying there has to sign in so they know who’s on their property. They give you the key to your tiny home and complimentary fresh eggs right from their chickens!
PSA the chickens are all over so try not to run them over lol … drive slow. You can only park one car in front of the tiny house (even though there is plenty of room for multiple cars) a second car can park on the property, just not directly in front of the rental home.
The owners are sweet and knowledgeable and also from Long Island! (huge plus) They will give you tons of info of things to do around there and let you touch all of the animals like baby goats, ducks, chickens, and bunnies.
The house we stayed in had 2 full size beds, two twin size beds, and a pull out couch. The latter to get up to the beds on the loft is kinda sketchy so just be careful and don’t drink too much wine if you’re going to be climbing up and down. The home had a working kitchen with a stove, oven, sink, and fridge. A full working bathroom with a shower. Outside there was a table to eat, a gazebo with a couch so even if it rains you can hang outside, and a fire pit!
Things The Property Offers:
- Every evening at around 4/5 PM they take walks with their heard of goats. They call it a “goat walk.” It’s super cute! There are like 15 well trained goats that just run along side of you. You don’t walk that far- it’s literally walking from one set of rocks to another but the goats love it.
- Fresh eggs and veggies from their chickens and garden
- kayaking and tubing
- heated pool (from May- Oct)
- snack shack and wood for the fire- you pay using the honors system. They have a cash jar and a Venmo account. Don’t be a dick, just pay for what you use.
- Lending library where you can borrow games
- A short hike to a waterfall and other trails. Waterfall is less than a quarter mile away from the tiny homes and its right on the property
